Tscribe is built with privacy at its core. This policy explains what data is collected, what is not, and why.
What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your audio files
- We do not collect, store, or transmit transcription results
- We do not send any data to cloud servers for processing
- We do not use analytics or tracking services
All audio transcription is performed 100% locally on your device using whisper.cpp.
What we DO collect and why
- License activation: Your device identifier (IOPlatformUUID on macOS) and email address are sent to our license server to generate and verify your license key. This is necessary to prevent unauthorized sharing and to manage your access to the software.
- Payment Information: We do NOT collect or store your credit card or billing details. Payments are securely processed by our partner, Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record. They will collect your payment information and email to fulfill the order and handle taxes.
- Support & Updates: If you contact us via email, we store your email address solely to provide technical support or notify you about critical product updates.
